Service Type and Outline

We provide tailored, flexible support to vulnerable young people, to enable them access opportunities.

Self-contained and shared accommodation; 24 hour staffed units for high support needs; individualised plans of support; contact to be flexible and responsive to young person’s need and issues of child protection and safety; 24-hour emergency telephone support.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The primary aim of this service is to provide tailored, flexible support to vulnerable young people, to enable them to access opportunities around education, training, employment and health, and develop the confidence and practical skills needed to live independent lives.

OUTCOMES:

These outcome areas broadly align with the five targets set out in Every Child Matters – Being Healthy, Enjoying and Achieving, Achieving Economic Well-Being, Staying Safe and Making a Positive Contribution. This specification helps to ensure that the Council achieves local implementation of these targets.
