Diversity and Inclusion

We see young people as individuals rather than stereotypes with labels.

GreenBridge16Plus recognises and celebrates the diversity which exists within our community, amongst our young people and in our society, and we will challenge discriminatory attitudes and behaviour.

GreenBridge16Plus Homes also recognises that diversity is not welcomed by all. In our society, certain groups and individuals have been, and continue to be, treated unfairly.

GreenBridge16Plus will positively work to make sure that all young people are given a fair and equal chance to participate in what we have to offer. Our aim is to work with young people, aged 16 and older, who are looked after, and preparing to leave the care of the local authority. Our approach when working with young people is to see each one as an individual and not to place labels upon them or stereotype them.

GreenBridge16Plus believes difference based on gender, race, religious belief, sexuality, and ability should be respected. Our aim is to create an environment in which everyone feels welcome, respected and included in all our activities.
